On October 14, 2018, Ms. Viraka Mutiparn, Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, welcomed a delegation from the Extension School of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, led by Dr. Pirongpong Fusiri, Dean of the Faculty of Development, and Dr. Anuchat Chongchong, Vice-Dean, on the occasion of visiting Ho Chi Minh City. To meet with the Thai private sector and explore ways to expand educational cooperation with the Thai private sector and Vietnamese higher education institutions in the future.<\/p>\n\n

During this discussion, the two sides exchanged views on ways to promote education cooperation between Thailand and Vietnam, such as exchanging academic knowledge and experience, holding joint seminars and internships for students in Thai private companies in Vietnam. This includes encouraging more Vietnamese students to study in Thailand, especially in the International Program of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, to increase the proportion of international students in the university and respond to changes in the global educational context.<\/p>\n\n

On this occasion, the Consulate General provided an overview of the educational cooperation between Thailand and Vietnam that has taken place in the past, such as the promotion of teaching in the Thai Studies Department, the Thai Language Department in Vietnam, the granting of scholarships, as well as the networking of cooperation between universities of the two countries. Ready to advise on ways to expand cooperation and find potential educational partners in Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n

The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce was established in 2483 under the auspices of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. It is considered the country’s leading institution of higher education in business, commerce and service industry at the ASEAN level. It teaches in a variety of fields, such as the Faculty of Accounting, the Faculty of Business Administration, the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law. etc. and there are courses ranging from undergraduate to executive courses, short-term courses, online courses and international courses, with the University aiming to expand its educational courses and services to accommodate more international students in the future.<\/p>\n\n
